Diesel Oxidation Catalytic Convertors (DOCs)
Diesel oxidation catalytic converters does exactly what the name says. They oxidize the harmful air pollutants from the exhaust gases converting them into carbon di-oxide (CO2) and water vapours (H2O) by chemical reactions.
These are very effective in controlling the amount of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), odour causing compounds and the soluble organic fraction (SOF) of particulate matter (PM10). These are fast becoming a requirement for all off-road machineries to be equipped with converters so that they are compliant with the emission standards.
