Tube Manipulation – Bending Service

Mulmuf have heavily invested in tooling equipment over the last 20 years. Combining our wide range of apparatus and years of knowledge in bending tube and pipe products we can produce mandrel bends using a variety of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel (316 and 304) and aluminized steel- ranging in sizes from just 1 1/4” right up to 4 1/2”. We also cater for pipes up to 12” (Ref 1.5,1.6,1.7)

We produce two main types of bends which include; mandrel and empty bends. (Ref Fig 1.2,1.4,1.8) Mandrel bends have a steel rod inserted into the tube while it is being bent to give the tube extra support. This is done to reduce wrinkling of the tube during the process. (Ref Fig 1.9)

Empty bends are as the name suggests empty. They have no steel rod inserted into the tube during the process and as a result wrinkling occurs. (Ref Fig 1.1)

Using the combined capability of our state of the art equipment and highly skilled team we can produce many applications such as bending, expanding, reducing, flaring, swaging tube, metering, punching, piercing, and so on. (Ref Fig 1.3)
